Cues
In pool, the cue is a pole that players use to send the ball into motion. there are many differnt Cues, lets go over a few
- Standard Pool Cue:
Ferrule: Rock Maple/Fiberglass or Phenolic Resin
Shaft: fiberglass, carbon fiber, aluminum
Grips: rubber, memory foam grips
Ferrule: 0.75 to 1 inch (19 to 25 mm) long
Weight: Comes in 17 to 21 ounces
Tip Diameter: 12.00 to 14.00mm
- Carom Cue: Shorter and lighter than pool cues, with a shorter ferrule, a thicker butt and joint, a wooden joint pin and collarless wood-to-wood joint, a conical taper, and a smaller tip diameter, allowing a stiffer feel
- Masse Cue: The Masse cue that is shorter, heavier, and stiffer than the traditional Pool cue, allowing the user to perform trickshots.
Others
- Break Cue: Used only in the beginning of the game to break the set
- Jump Cue: Allows legal jumpshots in official compititions and tornaments
- Snooker Cue: Shorter than the typical pool cue and has a detachable butt extensions for making the cue 6 inches longer or more, used to hit cue balls at farther distances
